The Children’s Scholarship Fund awarded 680 scholarships in the 2020–2021 school year to 540 families attending 21 schools in 9 Pennsylvania counties. Over 94% of contribution dollars received have been awarded as scholarships for families in our region. Since 1998, The Children’s Scholarship Fund has raised over 15.5 million dollars and has awarded over 14.6 million dollars.  

 To qualify for the K-12 scholarship, the parents of the student must either reside in or be employed by a company located in Armstrong or Butler Counties.  To qualify for the Pre-Scholarship, the parents of the student must reside or work in Armstrong County only.

The Central Pennsylvania Scholarship Fund facilitates and distributes scholarships through PA tax credit eligible donations.   Children are eligible for scholarships if their household incomes are not more than $85,000  plus $15,608 for each child in the family for 2019. For example, a family with one child must have an income below $100,608  whereas a family with three children must have an income below $131,824. The figures will increase in future years to adjust for inflation.
